13 March 2019: SDG-festival

Venue: Gallery/Designlab Hours: 14.00-17.15 h

Keynote speaker: Maurits Groen (14.00-14.35 h)

About project Drawdown

Project Drawdown is the most comprehensive plan ever proposed

to combat global warming. The well-known American

environmental activist and author Paul Hawken is the initiator.

(Drawdown is that point in time when the concentration of

greenhouse gases in the atmosphere begins to decline on a year-

to-year basis).

Drawdown challenges by i.a. the UT Green Team: YOUR INPUT IS NEEDED

As is known, Green Team Twente is a pioneer in the field of sustainable mobility with their extremely efficient hydrogen car. Less known is that they promote sustainability in a broad sense. In a new project, the team wants to use the UT as a testing ground.

For the SDG festival, the Green Team Twente formulated a number of challenges around the

start of this project: How will we solve the energy issue in the (near) future? What does that

mean for energy users and legislation and regulations? These are just a few of the challenges

where the Green Team can use the input of students and staff.
