“What does the future of Europe look like if young people themselves help shape the border region? During this lunch lecture, you will learn about the EUREGIO’s bid for the title European Youth Capital 2029. What opportunities does cross-border cooperation between the Netherlands and Germany offer young people in terms of participation, education, mobility and democracy?
A key aim of the EUREGIO bid is to raise young people’s awareness of the role Europe plays in their daily lives in the run-up to the 2029 European elections, and to encourage them to participate actively in democracy. During the session, thety will present a current, practical example of European integration in a border region. Be inspired by the ambition to turn the EUREGIO into a testing ground for Europe and join them in exploring how young people can contribute to a stronger, more inclusive and more democratic Europe.”
